Match report for home game against Delta Rangers on Saturday 23rd
January 2010
After a lehgthy lay off due to the Christmas holidays and the severe
weather conditions at the start of the year this was always going to be
a tough fixtre against a team sitting at the top of the table.
All started well with two fantastic reaction saves from Molly in goal
and a wonderful individual run by Mel which saw her pass five Delta
players in a 60 yard run only to be denied by a great interception in
the Delta Rangers box. However,despite some good moments the strength of
the Delta team began to show after 15 minutes and by half time they were
leading by 8 goals.
Despite this healthy lead the girls didn't give up and Izzie England
pushing forward in the second half saw two efforts go just wide
following some good build up work and passing moves.
The final score was 18 nil to Delta Rangers.
Keep going girls - we will get our first win soon, I'm sure of it
