Last game of the season

Our last game of the season is a friendly away at Upton. Meet at Overchurch School in Upton at 10:40.

This is a game against what will be the Upton u16s team for next season organised especially to give a run out to the players who will be eligible to play u16s football next season for both teams.

At Waverton we only have two girls who could step up from u14 level.  Lucie is away so Cara has stepped in to play in goal. Rebecca will however join us after a good season with the u14s. Sophie and Laura will represent the older girls, whilst Emma, Lily, Kiera, Ellie Riste, Annaliese and Lauren will also play.

After playing against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday and doing so well, we are expecting great things from Cara, Ellie, Lily, Emma, Sophie and Laura.

As this is the final game of the season, the Captain's armband will be worn by Sophie. Cara and Sophie have played more games than anybody else this season, 15 each. However Sophie has only missed one training session since September and Cara two. Therefore, Sophie will be our Captain.

This is one of the easiest grounds to find. To get to Overchurch School, take the M53 to J2. This is signed Hoylake and West Kirby.  Take the Moreton spur off the M53 and then take the first left off the spur signed 'Upton'. Go up to the junction above the spur road, turn left and Overchurch School is about a quarter of a mile on the left hand side. Go into the playground and park.
