Night out/Christmas/the magic of the Cup

Wednesday night saw, instead of training, the annual Christmas night out. Much lower key than last year's bowling, this time a few girls went to the newly refurbished and extended Ring of Bells. How they have matured too, with them sorting out all the bill including a tip, themselves. Mind you 35p  wouldn't have been the biggest tip the staff had received that day. Nevertheless, it's the thought that counts isn't it? Glad that the days of arguing over who had a pizza with extra topping and who ordered the third chocolate brownie pudding are long gone.

We are awaiting the January fixtures. The league promised us verbally on Monday night that they would be published before Christmas. Our first game is likely to be Saturday January 5, and we understand it will be a cup game. Oh the excitement. Training begins on Wednesday January 9.

Best wishes to all the girls and their families for Christmas and the New Year and thanks for your on and off field contributions and support in 2012.
